HTTP Request Client
This HTTP client is a lightweight, fully front-end request tool. Without opening Postman, you can configure the method, URL, headers and a JSON body and send the request right in the browser. It is wired into the site JSON toolchain, so it can receive data from the formatter and mock tools and fire a request immediately.
How to use it
- 1
Configure the request
Enter the target URL and choose the HTTP method such as GET or POST.
- 2
Fill in headers and body
Set request headers (such as Content-Type) and paste or receive a JSON body.
- 3
Send the request
Click "Send" and inspect the response status code, timing, headers and JSON result in real time.
- 4
Keep processing
Send the response JSON to the formatter, tree view or entity generator without manual copying.
Key features
Pure front-end direct connection
Uses the browser fetch API to send requests with no intermediary server proxy, so request data never passes through this site.
Integration with the toolchain
Data can flow into the body from other tool pages such as the formatter and the smart mock generator.
Complete response information
Clearly shows response status, time, size and the pretty-printed JSON.
All the usual HTTP methods
Configure GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE and more, with editable request headers.
Validated JSON body
The JSON body editor formats and syntax-checks your payload before you send it.
Nothing to install
A browser-based HTTP client you can use without installing or signing in to a desktop app.
Common errors & troubleshooting
- ! Because of the browser same-origin policy (CORS), a request may fail if the target API does not allow cross-origin access. Use it for test endpoints or public APIs that support CORS.
- ! The JSON body input formats and syntax-checks your payload as you type.
- ! The request is sent directly by your browser, so the target server must return the appropriate CORS headers for you to read the response.
- ! After sending, the response JSON can be forwarded to the tree view or entity generator for further work.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I get a CORS (cross-origin) error?
This tool is fully front-end and is bound by the browser same-origin policy. If the target server does not allow cross-origin access (Access-Control-Allow-Origin), the browser blocks the response. It works best with test endpoints you control or public APIs.
Is my request data recorded by this site?
No. Every request is sent directly from your browser to the target server; this site has no middle layer intercepting or recording your request data.
Can I send a JSON body with a POST request?
Yes. Choose POST (or PUT / PATCH), set a Content-Type such as application/json and enter the body in the JSON editor, which validates it before sending.
Why does my request fail with a network error even though the endpoint works elsewhere?
That is usually CORS again: the browser cannot read the response because the server did not permit cross-origin requests. Try an endpoint that returns the proper CORS headers, or one you control.
